and this is what we did today.
first, we went over the problems on page 172 ( #'s 17,20,21,22,27) and here are the answers:
17. 1.989 × 10^30 kg
20. a. 3070.5 m/s
b. 86400s -> 8.66 × 10^4s or 24 hrs
21. a. 7348.469 s
b. 1508 m/s
22. a. 0.18676 m/s
b. 15.87 N
27. a. 2.03 × 10^20 N
b. 2.62 × 10^-3 N/kg
after doing the problems, ms. k went over the hand out GRADE 12 PHYSICS: GRAVITY AND APPARENT WEIGHT. then we had the review for the test tomorrow. the class ended of with ms. k showing us a video (i forgot the title.. sorry).
oh yeah... it wasn't shown in the slides... but i think ms. k said to read/study/review micro-gravity, hazzards, space exploration and why is the satellite stay in orbit.
